President Ousted Lumbini Cricket, Sent Chatur & Paras Conflicting Letters

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has formally requested the Lumbini Province Cricket Association to convene a Special General Assembly. This directive follows a notice from the National Sports Council (NSC) emphasizing the need for all provincial and district cricket associations to update their constitutions in alignment with CAN’s official statute. The letter highlights that the current statutes have not been revised as per recent governance requirements, prompting an urgent call for provincial-level assemblies.

CAN has asked Lumbini Province to complete the revision process and hold the Special General Assembly within the month of Jestha 2081 B.S. (May–June 2024). The communication, signed by CAN President Chatur Bahadur Chand, also includes a copy of the NSC’s letter for reference. This step is crucial for maintaining organizational compliance and ensuring uniformity across all provincial and district cricket bodies under the national association.
